Tungsten Carbide Rods, Dies & Wear Parts

Solid Carbide, Ground to Micron Precision

Your OEM/ODM Tungsten Carbide Partner

LuminaCast manufactures custom tungsten carbide tooling and wear parts for mold shops, machining and tooling factories, wire-drawing plants and flow-control equipment makers worldwide. We finish parts from high-quality sintered carbide blanks — holding tight tolerances with in-house CNC grinding, wire & sinker EDM and PVD/CVD coating.

From a single drawing or sample, we deliver carbide rods, stamping/drawing/extrusion dies, and anti-abrasion wear components in YG6, YG8 and YG15 grades (88–95 HRA). Low MOQ, fast sampling, and engineering support on grade selection and design-for-manufacturing.

Our Carbide Product Range

Tungsten Carbide Tooling & Wear Parts

Four core product families, all built to your specification from imported sintered carbide blanks and finished in-house.

Tungsten Carbide Rods

Solid carbide rods in YG6 / YG8 / YG10X grades — ground (h6) or unground blanks — for end mills, drills, reamers, routers and custom cutting tools. Plain rods plus single and double coolant-hole (helical) rods, cut to your length and diameter.

Carbide Dies — Stamping, Drawing & Extrusion

Cold-stamping and cold-forging dies, wire & tube drawing dies, deep-drawing and extrusion dies. EDM-cut and CNC-ground to tight tolerances for long production runs, minimal wear and stable dimensional accuracy under high pressure. See the dedicated carbide dies page →

Carbide Wear Parts

Guide bushings, sealing rings, nozzles, sleeves and bushings, plus other anti-abrasion components for pumps, valves, oilfield, mining and flow-control equipment — engineered to resist erosion, corrosion and extend service life.

Custom Carbide Blanks & Profiled Parts (OEM/ODM)

Non-standard shapes built from your drawing or sample: profiled blanks, special inserts and wear strips. We finish-grind, wire and sinker EDM, and apply PVD / CVD coatings to your exact specification.

Industries We Supply

Our tungsten carbide tooling and wear parts serve demanding, high-abrasion environments where steel tooling wears out too fast.

Tungsten Carbide — Buyer FAQ

Which tungsten carbide grades and hardness do you offer?

We work with YG6, YG8 and YG15 (corresponding to ISO K / P / M classes), covering a hardness range of roughly 88–95 HRA. We help you select the right grade based on the balance of wear resistance, toughness and impact your application needs. For a detailed comparison of hardness, toughness and typical applications, see our YG6 vs YG8 vs YG15 grade selection guide.

Do you produce carbide parts from powder, or finish-machine from blanks?

We finish-machine from high-quality sintered carbide blanks. Our in-house CNC precision grinding, wire and sinker EDM, and PVD/CVD coating let us hold tight tolerances and consistent quality with shorter lead times than full powder-to-part production.

Can you make non-standard / custom carbide parts from our drawings?

Yes. Send us a STEP, IGES or 2D PDF drawing — or a physical sample — and we will quote profiled blanks, dies, wear parts or special inserts. We also advise on grade selection and design-for-manufacturing to optimise tool life and cost.

What surface finishes and coatings are available for carbide tooling?

Precision ground finishes down to Ra ≤ 0.2 µm, plus PVD and CVD coatings (e.g. TiN, TiAlN) for higher hardness, lower friction and longer service life in cutting and forming applications.

What is the MOQ and lead time for tungsten carbide products?

MOQ is low and negotiable per item for custom carbide parts, and samples can be supplied before bulk. Typical sample lead time is 7–15 working days, with bulk production in 25–30 working days after sample approval.
